Can't make time for love?
The Shaughnessy brothers have spent the years since their mother's untimely death taking care of each other and trying to make their father proud. Oldest son Aidan is hard-working, handsome, successful-and still single. Sure, he'd like to have his own family someday, but who has the time?

She'll show him how to find it
Zoe Dalton, a stunning designer Aidan meets on one of his construction jobs, has the beauty and heart to make Aidan realize how much he could be missing. But it's not easy to break down walls you've spent years building up. Now there's a major storm bearing down on the North Carolina coast, and it could be catalyst enough to force Aidan and Zoe into some major decisions of the heart.

Hey, Everyone! I’m Samantha Chase and it is a pleasure to be here Kari & Autumn talking about my new contemporary romance Made for Us book one in my new family series, The Shaughnessy Brothers.  And I have to tell you, this family series is one that I know you are going to fall in love with as much as I have.

There are six siblings and at the point that you’re going to be meeting them seventeen years has gone by since they lost their mother, and we see how this affects who they currently are. Each book will not only introduce you to an individual Shaughnessy as they navigate through their life and eventually find love, you get to spend a lot of time getting to know the rest of the family, as well.

Kari& Autumn: What inspired you to become a writer?

I’ve enjoyed writing ever since I wrote my first short story in the third grade.  I wrote my first romance by hand in high school.  I always dreamed of being an author but it wasn’t until I had been teaching creative writing to homeschoolers that I really became inspired.  My high school students were all participating in writing contests and self-publishing their work and I thought – if they can do it, why can’t I?  They were all so talented and encouraging and I loved that about them.

Kari& Autumn: Where do you come up with the ideas for your books?

I feel like just about anything can inspire an idea for a story – whether it’s something I saw on TV, a song or even another book I’ve read.  The voices in my head get very loud and demanding and that’s when I know it’s time to start writing.

Kari& Autumn: What exciting projects are waiting in the wings?

The list is pretty endless right now!  My publishing schedule is pretty full and already scheduled out through the end of 2018 and I am also participating in a holiday anthology with some of my fellow authors from Authors in the City that will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.

Kari& Autumn: Who is your favorite literary character and why?

Ooo…that’s a tough one.  I don’t read a lot of the classics and I know this is where a lot of authors would talk Jane Eyre – and who could blame them.  Mr. Darcy is still probably one of the top picks.  But for me, it’s too hard to pick just one.

Kari& Autumn: Just for fun, if you could be any animal, what would it be and why?

You guys are hysterical.  Right now I would be my pug Maylene.  She’s spoiled rotten, sleeps all day and everywhere she goes, people make a fuss over her.  Not a bad way to live!

Thanks for having me here today!!

About the author:

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.
