Books I Did Not Finish - October Edition

 

Sweet Beginnings:  I was looking forward to starting a new (to me) romance series.  I ended up DNFing this one fairly early in the book.  .  The main character kept making stupid decisions regarding the bookstore.  I was really bored.  The romance was boring.  I doubt I will read any more books n the series.

Hello, Summer: I tried twice to get into this book.  I tried the physicals copy and then the audiobook.  I just couldn't get into the story.  I didn't like the main character.  I wasn't in the mood for a pity party story.  Maybe I'll try again at some point in the future.

The Devil and the Dark Water:  I really liked The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, so I was excited for this one.  I ended up DNFing it at about 50% of the way in.  I was really bored.  There were too many characters to keep track of  Some of them seemed to go by more than one name.   I also wasn't sure really what was going on.  I didn't care for the setting or time period.  I wouldn't recommend it.

Sea of Tranquility:  This one had been on my TBR for a long time.  It should have stayed there.  Again, the book had unlikable characters.  I could tell there was going to be a lot of teen angst and I just wasn't in the mood for it.
