I was in the mood for a historical romance and Diary of an Accidental Wallflower hit the spot. The story involves Clare who has her sights set on snagging a duke as a husband. However, when she sprains her ankle,she finds herself on the wallflower line, her friends conspiring against her and a handsome doctor who becomes a temptation.
One of the best parts of a book is when the main character ends up growing over the course of the story. Thankfully, Clare does some major growing up in this story. I really did not like her in the beginning. She was kind of stuck up and unlikable. I did love Daniel from the start. They did have great chemistry and was rooting for them. The other characters were fun and added a lot of comic relief to the story. There are also a couple of surprises toward the end that I very much enjoyed. I look forward to reading the next one in the series.
