The Summer We Forgot is exactly the type of YA mystery that I would have loved as a teen.  It involves a groups of teens who, two years before, were involved in something that none of them can remember.  When their middle school science teacher's missing body is found, they realize they have to recapture their lost memories. Maybe then they will be able to get back all that they lost.

I really enjoyed this one.  I thought the pacing was just right with key clues and memories being revealed at the right moments.  I was definitely kept guessing. Everyone involved has secrets, some worse than others.   I enjoyed all of the characters. Especially Darby as she had the most growth by the end of the book. The story is told through the alternating points of view of Morgan and Darby.  I loved watching them recapture their friendship. While there is some violence, it is a clean story all around.  The ending was very satisfactory.  I definitely recommend this one.
