My thoughts:

Until I Found You is the second book in the McKenna Brothers series.  I really loved the first book, but I almost liked Willa and Decker's story even more, if that is possible. This was such a sweet and adorable romance. The chemistry was off the charts for this couple from the beginning.  Both Decker and Willa were chasing something they were never going to catch and ended up finding something infinitely better. Little Birdie was an adorable addition to the story.  Along with the romance, we are treated to time with the McKenna family again.  I really love the relationship among the brothers and father and I feel like they get closer with each story.  I can't wait for the next book.

Release Boost: Review of Can't Get Over You by Erika Kelly

She’s got it all—but none of it’s real.

Finlay O'Neill is about to marry the man who’ll make her dreams come true. There’s just one problem… He’s the wrong man. The runaway bride finds herself with an unexpected getaway driver: her bad-boy high school crush.

Jude McKenna’s come home to win custody of his late best friend’s son, but who’s going to let a single, tattooed bartender adopt a little boy? Fortunately, fate drops the town’s good girl right into his lap—or at least on the back of his bike.

A fake engagement seems like the perfect solution—as long as Finlay doesn’t start believing the lie. Because Jude’s all about the open road, and she’ll never let go of her white picket fence dreams.

But, just maybe, he can show her how to break the rules while she teaches him what a real home feels like.

My thoughts:

Can't Get Over You is latest in the Calamity Falls series.  I have read a few of the first ones, but somehow missed several in the middle.  This one worked well as a stand alone book.   I love when a romance sucks me right in and I cant put the book down.  I thought the romance between Jude and Finlay was intense, raw and strong.  It's a fake engagement story, but really, this couple was destined to be together for years.  I loved their history.  I also really enjoyed Jude's family and how they showed up for him when it counted.  Little Cody was adorable and was the perfect glue to bring this little family together.  I highly recommend this one!

Blog Tour: Review & Excerpt of The Careless Boyfriend by Erika Kelly

From award-winning author Erika Kelly comes the third standalone title in her smoking hot series about four elite athlete brothers raised in the Tetons by their eccentric, billionaire dad and uncle, The Bad Boyfriend Series! Don’t miss your chance to meet the swoony Gray Bowie in THE CARELESS BOYFRIEND! Grab your copy today!

Author: Erika Kelly
Date of publication: April 2019

Gray Bowie broke the bro code: he fell in love with his best friend’s girlfriend.

For years, he hid his feelings…until one terrible night, it all came to a head.

Since her life blew up in high school, Knox Holliday has spent her time honing her skills as a couture wedding dress designer. But, just weeks before her debut, a freak accident wipes out her collection. The culprit: her ex’s former best friend, Gray Bowie.

Gray does everything he can to get her career back on track. As they work together, they find forgiveness and start to stitch together something that looks a lot like love. But, at the very moment they realize they have a chance for something real, her ex comes back to town, bringing opportunities Gray can’t provide.

This time, Gray’s not going to step aside, so he can only hope Knox will hold onto his heart.

She’s his dream, but will he be hers?

The Careless Boyfriend is the third in the Bad Boyfriend Series.  This is Gray and Knox's story.  So far, I have enjoyed this books in this series.  They all hold up well as stand alones.  While not my favorite of the series so far, I still enjoyed this one.  Will and Delilah and Ruby from The Heartless Boyfriend are still my favorite (Sorry Gray!)  What I liked about this one was that Gray was all in from the beginning.  He finally has what he has always wanted within his reach... Knox's heart.  Given the events in their past, I could see how it took her a bit of time to realize Gray was always it for her. Some of her decisions regarding Robert had me a bit disappointed, especially given what he put her through in high school.  At one point I was yelling at the book for her to open her eyes.  I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't say more.  So go read it as well as the first two in the series.  I can't wait for Brodie's story!

Enjoy this excerpt:

“It’s just…my circumstances were so different from yours, you know? In my mind, it wasn’t even a possibility that you could be attracted to someone like me.”
“Well, hopefully that kiss cleared it up for you, because I’m still attracted to you, Knox, and I’m not gonna play games with you about it. The question is…” He trailed his fingertips along the inside of her forearm. “Are you attracted to me?”
Goosebumps exploded along her arm, racing up her neck, and cascading down her entire body, but she wouldn’t let Mr. Smugness see. “Please. We’re pals, nothing more.” But he wasn’t stupid. He had to hear the tremor in her voice.
“Hm. Interesting.” He leaned over her, looking into her eyes. “I had no idea your eyes were black. Oh, wait. They’re dilated.” He gently brushed his fingers over her collarbone, his thumb teasing her pebbled skin. “Are you…attracted to me?”
She squeezed her thighs together. “I mean, you’re okay and everything, but…” Her expression said, Meh.
“That right?” He shifted closer—but not quite touching.
His body heat, his scent, that intense look in his eyes…God. She tried to act nonplussed, but it didn’t work. Blood rushed up her neck, and desire pulsed between her legs.
“Let’s test it. If you’re not attracted to me, this won’t take but a minute.” He lowered his face into the crook of her neck. “Do me a quick favor? Inhale. Real deep. Get a lungful of my pheromones.”
“Shut up.” She tried to push him, but he was solid as granite.
“I just want to see if my scent works for you. Go on, breathe me in.”
“You’re such an idiot. Get off me.”
He lifted his head, bringing his mouth right to her ear. “I’m conducting an experiment, and I’m going to need you to stay very still. Quit squirming.” His lips brushed across her cheek—barely touching—until he reached her jaw line. Then, he glanced up at her. “Okay, that’s fascinating. I’d hoped for some pink, but you’re beet red. That’s way beyond blushing, sugar buns.”
“Okay, we’re done here.”
“Not yet.” He gently cupped her jaw. “There’s one last test.” The moment their gazes met, the mischief turned into pure, unadulterated lust. “This is the one that counts.” He brought his mouth over hers and kissed her.
Everything inside her turned creamy and hot. She wanted to slide her hands through all that thick, unruly hair, wanted to feel his hard, muscled body on top of hers.
But fear had a grip on her. It’s Gray. She didn’t want to know such extreme pleasure, get attached to a man who thrilled her, comforted her, wanted her, and then watch him walk away.
They didn’t have a future. Anyone could see that. What would happen after he left for his first competition? Got back into his familiar world of traveling from one country to another, one event to another?
She could have one night with him, maybe two. Three, four, what did it matter? Her heart and soul would get engage, and then he’d be gone.
Gray pulled away, the pad of his thumb on her mouth, looking utterly crestfallen. “It’s okay.”
What’s okay?
“I was just messing with you.” He started to roll away from her, and she realized she’d zoned out, let her fears stand on the mountain of her insecurities and plant a victory flag.
She grabbed his shoulder and yanked him back. His big, hard body fell half on top of her. God, did it feel good. More. Her hands threaded through his hair. “Gray.”
That was all it took to unleash him, just the sound of his name drenched in urgency and need. His mouth opened over hers, and he licked inside, his big hand clamping down on her hip and drawing her closer. He kissed with such fervor, she got swept away, the undertow so powerful it drowned her insecurities. She clutched his broad, powerful back. He feels so good.
His hand slid underneath her, caressing down to her bottom and then squeezing with such lust she literally writhed against him.

How had she ever thought he lacked passion? Holy smokes did he have it—and what a heady feeling knowing he had it for her.

Blog Tour: Review & Excerpt of The Heartless Boyfriend by Erika Kelly

Author: Erika Kelly
Publisher: EK Publishing, LLC
Date of publication: October 2018

There's not an athlete alive who can match Will's drive and self-discipline...until an adorable two year old and a fiery chef land on his doorstep and turn his life upside down. If he wants to keep his girls, he's going to have to learn to lead with his heart and not his mind.

Will Bowie is supposed to be training for the Olympics, but the toddler unexpectedly dropped into his life isn't interested in his schedules. Still, he's pretty sure he's got things under control...

...until a sexy chef lands on his doorstep and offers a temptation he can't resist.

Hours after losing her restaurant, chef Delilah Lua enters a cooking competition thousands of miles away from home. Winning would resurrect the dream that's been stolen from her. If--no, when--she wins, she'll go back with the capital to open her own place and enough fame to do it with flair. Her roommate, though, is a delicious surprise she hadn't anticipated...

..but she's not sure how to have her cake and eat it, too.

Despite the undeniable sparks in the kitchen, Will's not about to give his heart to a woman who's leaving, and Delilah must decide if the delectable future she could cook up with Will is worth more than a childhood dream.

The Heartless Boyfriend is the second book in the "Bad Boyfriends" series featuring the Bowie brothers.  This is Will's story.  The first book ended on a big cliff hanger with a little girl being dropped off at the house.  Will doesn't care whose daughter she is, he is determined to make her feel welcome.  Delilah ends up entering the big chef competition at the ranch to prove to her family, she can handle running a piece of the family business. Neither one is counting on how much their lives will change.

I'm not sure I have read a cuter romance than this one in a while.  I absolutely loved this story.  The romance was sweet and refreshing. Will and Delilah just fit together so perfectly.  Will had spent his whole life training and she helped him see more possibles.  Delilah was finally able to find a place to shine.  But more than the romance, I loved the story-line with Ruby.  Will has a lot of hurt from how his mother treated him when he was little.  He thinks he is heartless, but a cute little two year old helps him realize he really isn't.  I loved their relationship. The scene in her mother's house was so gut wrenching but hopeful at the same time. I'm not sure how anyone can read this without their heart melting. I don't want to say anything more.  Just go read it.  I know you'll fall for Wheel., Wally, and Ruby just like I did.

Enjoy this excerpt:

Glancing up from the faucet, she expected to see an apology in his eyes for being so cold to her. Instead, she saw impatience.
“Can I wash my hands?”
“When I finish.” She didn’t know why she’d held her ground. It wasn’t like she hadn’t cleaned the pear enough. But she was pissed at him—no, herself. God, she didn’t know. Nothing made sense. They’d been so close last night—she’d felt so comfortable with him, so free. And then he’d ruined everything with that kiss-off. I have to stay on track.
Okay, Will. Sorry for cutting in on your eight hours.
He stepped closer, reaching around her for the soap. His big, sweaty arms boxed her in, his thighs touching the backs of hers. He lathered his hands. “Let’s not make things uncomfortable for Ruby, okay?”
He was right. “I won’t.” Of course, he was.
“I’m sorry if I hurt you, and we can talk about it later, but Ruby picks up on everything, and I don’t want a strained, weird vibe in her home.”
“I know.” She didn’t need to be bitchy. It wasn’t like they’d made each other promises. They’d gotten carried away, and it had been great. “It was just sex.” She’d meant to lighten the mood, but the way he flinched—his arm grazing her bare skin—made her sizzle down to the soles of her feet. “Lackluster at that.”
“Right.” He held her gaze—hard, intense—but his words came out nonchalant. “Basic.”
“Yep. I’m all about the extra.”
“Never settle, Delilah Lua.” He clamped down on what might’ve been an awesome grin. “Never settle.”
She set the pear down and turned in his arms. “So, we’re good?”
He gave her that burning, hungry look that made desire churn and a flash fire race across her skin. “We’re good.” And then he put a hand on Ruby’s head. “I’m gonna hit the shower. You okay to stay down here with Wally?”
“Go wif you.”
He lifted his sister and headed across the living room. When his foot hit the bottom stair, he turned to her. “For what it’s worth?”
She waited.
“It was spectacular.”

Blog Tour: Review & Excerpt of The World's Worst Boyfriend by Erika Kelly

Author: Erika Kelly
Publisher: EK Publishing
Date of publication: April 2018

Six years ago Fin Bowie made a decision that cost him the love of his life. Now his ex is coming back to town for her brother's wedding, and he can finally make things right. Except, right before the event, a text he sent goes viral. Overnight, he becomes an international meme. And it's hard to win your woman back when the whole world's calling you The World's Worst Boyfriend.

The last thing on Calliope Bell's mind is getting back with Fin. Not when her life's just gone sideways, forcing her to spend the summer in Calamity, Wyoming. She can't be away from the New York art world this long, so she comes up with the idea to turn the hottest pop culture event of the moment into a museum exhibition.

The two have every intention of avoiding each other--until the county judge sentences Fin to community service...helping her exploit the meme he's trying to make go away.

The World's Worst Boyfriend is a second chance love story between  two people who need to really do some major growing before they can find their HEA.  It's the first book in a new series about the Bowie brothers. This is Fin and Callie's story

I'm going to be  honest, I did not love this book in the beginning.  Callie drove me nuts.  The failing of their relationship really had fault on both side and she acted as if it was all Fin's fault.  I knew until she understood her part in it, they would never be able to move on. I felt so badly for Fin.  I am happy that I kept going with the story.  I ended up loving watching Fin and Callie "grow up" and find their way back together.  Fin was my favorite part of the book.  Callie, thankfully,  redeemed herself in the end.

The exhibition that Callie started and expanded was such a neat idea.  I loved how it evolved and think it would be a neat place to visit in real life.  I won't give away details, you'll have to read to find out.  The secondary characters were fun and I look forward to reading their stories in the future.  The book kind of ends on a bit of a cliff hanger, so I'm dying to get the next book!  I highly recommend this second chance romance!

Enjoy this excerpt:

“Guess what, Callie?  Love isn’t safe. It’s messed up and crazy and it hurts like hell. But why would you want anything less than what we had? Jesus, what we had—it was more than love. It was…Dammit. Why do I have to explain this to you? I’m empty without you, and no other woman, no friend or brother—no one can take your place. You’re part of me. And I’m sorry but I’m not buying that you’ve moved on. We screwed up, and we got lost, but I will be damned if I accept that you’d rather have some boring, bland relationship than me.” He reached for her, pulling her hard against him, gaze focused on her mouth.
Slowly, he leaned in, overwhelming her with his masculine scent. He pressed a soft, gentle kiss that sent an alarming rush of desire through her body. A lick of his tongue across her lips had her mouth opening to him, welcoming him, and then it happened.
Fin kissed her. Kissed her the way he always had—hungry, desperate, a barely contained expression of carnal need.
He kept his hands to himself, their mouths the only point of connection. His kiss tasted sweet like love, hot like passion, like everything beautiful in the world grew out of this, the tender intimacy of two souls finally, finally rejoining.

The moment she reached for him, restless for the press of his hard body against hers, he tore his mouth away. “You wanna settle for less than that?”
