In May, Belinda meets Ryan when she is chosen to be the fire warden for her floor in the building where her company is housed. Ryan is a fire fighter who teaches fire safety on the side. For them it's an instant attraction. For the most part, I did like this one. It's a fairly mild romance as far as heat goes. I did like watching the couple fall for each other. Belinda has a 4 YO daughter named Charlie who is adorably enthusiastic. I loved the scene at fire station where she kept parroting something her aunty Sasha taught her. It was adorable. While not my favorite of the set so far, I do still recommend it.
My thoughts on August by Rubi Jade:
August is an absolutely adorable second chance romance. This one is Serafina and Noah's story. After leaving her boyfriend of 3 years after an assault and quitting her job, Serafina is back in her home town to start over. This is good news to Noah, who is the boy she left behind after high school. So far, this one is my favorite. The first time Serafina and Noah see each other after so many years is too cute. I loved their chemistry. I also loved that they were coming back together more mature. There is a more serious theme of stalking and violence, so be warned of that. But I was so rooting for Noah and Serafina. The epilogue was just perfect. I highly recommend this one.
