My thoughts:
Losing my breathe involves Callan, a retied Marine dealing with major untreated PTSD from his time in service, and Meridian who moves into the apartment across from his. To a recluse like Callan, this not the most ideal situation. Yet something about her makes him curious.
For the most part, I did like this book. It was a lot heavier than I was expecting. The cover alone make it out to a romantic comedy. Granted there were a few laughs. However, I felt like Callan's struggles with his past made the story not so light. I also did enjoy that the couple took a lot of time getting to know each other before progressing to boyfriend/girlfriend and then fiancé, etc. Meridian is exactly what Callan needed to start working through his past. This was a quick read and one I do recommend.
