Fatal Deception is the third book in the Steele Ops series.  This is Roman's story. His company is called in to investigate the theft of a deadly virus from a seemingly secure research facility.  Isabel is the doctor working on finding a cure for the virus.  This series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.  The stories keep getting better and better and never disappoint. 

This has it all...a great love story and an action packed and intriguing mystery.  I loved the dynamic between Roman and Isabel.  There is nothing I love more than a brooding wounded warrior meeting a strong woman who breaks through all of his barriers.  Isabel was a great character.  I also love a strong and intelligent female lead.  This couple had amazing chemistry.   

The suspense plotline had me on the edge of my seat.  Especially given the time we are in right now.   I loved the twist that was thrown in toward the end.  The characters from the other books rounded out the book nicely.  I love the banter between the brothers and the rest of the team.  It always makes me laugh.  So far, this series has covered a serial killer, a cult and a deadly virus.  I can't wait to see what comes next!

Lethal Redemption is the second book in the Steele Ops series.  This is Grace and Cade's story.  They were in the first book and I couldn't wait to dive into their second chance romance.  I was definitely not disappointed.  In this one, Grace and Cade are asked by a prominent figure in government  to get break a young woman out of a cult called New Dawn.  Grace has a past with New Dawn as she lived in the compound with her mother until her escape at age 13. 

I am always a sucker for a second chance romance.  Grace and Cade where best friends and lovers when they were younger.  They had made plans for a life together, until Cade walked away.  Now he has the opportunity to try to win Grace back.  I thought Cade's explanation for leaving was valid.  I also think that it was almost better for them to live separate lives and grow up a it before coming back together.  I loved Grace and how she was able to take care of herself.  Cade was a great match for her.  They were had great banter and their chemistry was amazing.

Along with the romance, I enjoyed the suspense part of the book.  Cults have always fascinated me.  This one was a doozy.  Having insider information from Grace made it that much more interesting.  There was a surprising twist toward the end regarding Grace's mother that I didn't see coming.  This was a great addition to the series.  I am really enjoying the characters overall.  I look forward to reading the next one.

Deadly Obsession is a random pick that came available on my library's overdrive site.  I'm always looking for new authors, so I gave it a try.  The book is the first in a series about the Steele family.  The brothers are working toward building a secret ops security business.  When long time friend, Zoey, ends up working on a serial killer case, Knox helps out on the case.

I had such a good time listening to this book.  I loved the characters.  I loved Knox and Zoey.  Zoey had always had a crush on Knox. Knox had also been attracted to Zoey. But she was his best friend's little sister.  So I loved watching Knox finally give in to his feelings about Zoey. Their chemistry was off the charts.  I liked that despite Zoey's health issues, she was such a strong person.  She wasn't a helpless female and wasn't afraid to take care of herself. 

I also loved the relationship and banter between Knox and his brothers.  Despite their issues, you could tell their love and respect for each other ran deep.  I did call the serial killer's identity fairly early on, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment in watching them figure it all out.  If you missed this one, I highly recommend it.
