Throwback Thursday: The Best Mistake by Nora Roberts
Author: Nora Roberts
First published in 1994 by Silhouette
Also found in the anthology Love Comes Along (Silhouette, 2014)
Ex-model Zoe Fleming is now a hardworking single mom?and she wouldn't have it any other way. Though she would like a tenant to share household expenses. What she gets is confirmed bachelor J. Cooper McKinnon. Coop quickly befriends her son and in no time has the reluctant Zoe charmed, too. But she has zero room in her life for a man! Either this was a recipe for disaster or the best mistake she's ever made.
The Best Mistake was a really cute romance and a really quick read. I liked both Coop and Zoe. Neither one was looking for romance, but the attraction between the two was too strong to ignore. Coop is used to the single life, loves his job and it not too keen on children. Zoe has been hurt by her son's father and is content to raise her son alone with no one's help. I was a bit surprised at the speed of Zoe's declaration of love for Coop. But I thought their HEA was believable.
I definitely recommend this one for a throwback read. If you are in the mood for a super sweet and quick romance, give this one a try.
