Review: The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler

Author: Sarah Morgenthaler
Publisher: Sourcebooks Casablanca
Publication date: May 2020

When Graham Barnett named his diner The Tourist Trap, he meant it as a joke. Now he's stuck slinging reindeer dogs to an endless string of resort visitors who couldn't interest him less. Not even the sweet, enthusiastic tourist in the corner who blushes every time he looks her way…

Two weeks in Alaska isn't just the top item on Zoey Caldwell's bucket list. It's the whole bucket. One look at the mountain town of Moose Springs and she's smitten. But when an act of kindness brings Zoey into Graham's world, she may just find there's more to the man than meets the eye…and more to love in Moose Springs than just the Alaskan wilderness.

I was really in the mood for a cute rom-com and The Tourist Attraction hit the spot.  Have you ever had a vacation that you couldn't wait to go on only to find out that everything on said vacation goes wrong?  For Zoey, her dream vacation to Alaska is bad on steroids.  The one highlight is the owner of  "The Tourist Trap", a local hamburger place.

I thought this book was a lot of fun.  The town was filled with quirky characters that I want to revisit.  The romance is a little isnt-lovey, but I was having so much fun with this book that I didn't mind. The chemistry between Graham and Zoey was a really cute.  There are a lot of laugh out loud moments between them  My favorite scene was the bus trip.  My only complaint was the way the townspeople hated the tourists.  I  know they can be annoying, but they are responsible for keeping the town alive.  So that part got a little old after  a while.  I look forward to visiting with this town and the characters again in the next book.
