Review: Dream by Carly Phillips

Author: Carly Phillips

As a little girl, Andrea Harmon wanted to marry a prince, and Kyle Davenport hoped it would be him. But he never told her how he felt, and lost her as a result. Because sometimes the bad guy gets the girl. And Kyle left town to get over her.

Andi made the wrong choice years ago, choosing the bad boy over the best friend she trusted and she paid for it every day since.
Coming face to face with his former best friend was bound to happen once he moved back to Rosewood Bay, but for Kyle, becoming her son’s new teacher is a painful reminder of what they never had. But this time around, Kyle is determined to change their ending. Prince Charming is determined to break down her walls.

Except that no happily-ever-after is won without a fight—and her ex-husband doesn’t like to lose.

Dream is the final (I think) book in the Rosewood Bay series.  This is Andi's story.  After the ending of Freed, I was really looking forward to Andi's book.  And is finally free from her abusive ex husband.  Her life is busy but on track as she works and raises her son.  She was Kyle's first love and now he is back in town.  The attraction is there stronger than ever. Can he forgive her for walking away all those years before?

This was a perfect way to end the series.  Andi and Kyle's second chance story was effortless and really sweet.  I loved them together. Once Kyle understood why she walked away all those years ago, his willingness to let go of the past was admirable.  I was also rooting for Andi to see that she didn't have to be completely independent because of one bad relationship.  Everyone needs a helping hand once in a while.

Dream is definitely my favorite of the series.  I highly recommend it when it comes out.  While you are waiting, why not give the other books a try?
