The search for a ruthless hit man turns into a deadly alpine chase...

Undercover to track the assassin who killed his partner, FBI special agent Alex Driscoll accidentally pulls his partner's widow, Violet Sharp, and her search-and-rescue K-9, Teddy, into the case. Now, with Violet's life on the line, the only way Alex can protect her is to make her -- and her enormous dog -- his new cover. But can they stay alive long enough to bring the hit man to justice?

Mills & Boon Love Inspired Suspense -- Courage. Danger. Faith
.

Search and Defend is the 4th book in the K-9 Search and Rescue series.   This one features Alex and Violet.  After the death of her husband and Alex's partner, Violet is working for the National Forest service and still grieving the loss of her husband.  When Alex comes back into her life needing a cover, Violet reluctantly agrees to help.

This is yet another enjoyable romantic suspense from this series.  It was fast paced with a lot of suspense.  I enjoyed the chemistry between Alex and Violet. There was also a very real storyline that deals with personal loss and grief.  Violet is not sure if she is ready to move on, yet she is feels drawn to Alex.  Alex feels incredible guilt thinking he is responsible for his partners death.  I was rooting for them to work it out.  Their HEA was sweet.  I highly recommend this one.
