Normally when I red these 1001 Nights books, I have no problem reading them as a stand alone. I'm not sure I can really say that with this book. I have not read any of the Tanglewood books, so I was a little lost in this world. Despite that, I did enjoy my short time with Anders and Natalie. I wish the story was a bit longer because I would have loved to spend more time with the couple. I think fans of this series will enjoy this short novella. I am intrigued now to seek out some of the books in the series now.
